Artist Statement:

This painting depicts the happy occasions when families are reunited during the current Covid 19 pandemic. Such occasions have become more difficult due to lockdowns, border closures, restrictions on visiting nursing homes, limitations on the number of people allowed for social gathering and deliberate distancing from family members to keep them safe due to one’s occupation or the vulnerability of the sick/elderly/pregnant/young children at home.
