Shirley Png’s Art Gallery (formerly known as The Sincere Art) started out as a home-based studio in 2007 by Shirley Png.  Shirley’s customers comprise mainly of individuals who wanted to turn their cherished portraits into mementos and gifts for their loved ones.  Over the years, Shirley has handled works which ranges from personal portraits, child portraits, couple portraits, friends portraits, family portraits, pet portraits and human & pet portraits.  Her works are hanging proudly in the homes of collectors from Singapore, Japan, India, United Kingdom and United States.

Shirley Png’s Art Gallery was established to give life to people’s memories through works of portrait drawings.  Seeing a real connection between works of art and ourselves will be a norm.  Leaving behind a legacy for future generations through works of art will be possible for everyone.

Shirley’s passion for drawing started when she was a child.  Her pursuit of portraiture started when she took a bold step to read Art in Junior College (JC) without any prior specialization in Art during her secondary school days.  She was inspired to learn portrait drawing when she saw works of her seniors hanging on the walls of the college grounds. In JC, she was trained under a teacher who is a graduate of an Art college in Amsterdam.  Despite her early struggles with the subject, Shirley found much joy in drawing portraits of her school mates. The effort she had put in eventually earned her an academic award in Art in her graduation year.

Most of Shirley’s works reflect her interest in realism art and using pencil as a medium to show fine outlines and details. She is inspired by portraits of European artists Jan van Eyck, Albrecht Dürer and Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (Raphael).  Through constant self-learning, Shirley aspires to create quality portrait drawings which her island homeland, Singapore, can be proud of.
