This is a
painting of a couple in Christmas theme pullovers. The lady is wearing a turtle
neck knitted red and white top and the gentleman is wearing a knitted purple
and white top. The gentleman is smiling at the camera while the lady gives a
subtle smile towards her right, seemingly looking into the future with hope.
This painting celebrates Singapore’s launch of quarantine-free vaccinated
travel lanes (VTL) with Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain,
United Kingdom, United States and Korea in mid-October and November 2021. It is
a significant milestone in the country’s effort to ‘live with Covid 19’ and an
important event for many families as they can finally meet one another and
spend 2021’s Christmas together.
